Fifth and Clark Fridays Returns to Ames City Auditorium on Fri., Jan. 24, 2025 with Munk Rivers and Kensett

The first Fifth and Clark Friday’s Concert of the new year will include two Des Moines based Indie Rock bands. This show will kick off at 7 p.m. with Kensett followed by Munk Rivers. The Auditorium lobby will open at 6 p.m. and doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Kensett is an up-and-coming Indie Rock band from Des Moines that draw influence from punk, emo, 80’s new wave, shoegaze, and 90’s indie rock. This 4-piece ensemble has a very unique sound that is sure to please indie rock fans of all ages.

Munk Rivers specializes in straight from the heart and thoughtful lyricism, bigger than life guitar work, and experimental production…there’s something for everyone. The project is led by brother-sister duo Charlotte and Tucker Judkins, who founded the project in 2021 after moving from Webster City, Iowa to Des Moines.

These events are supported with a generous grant from The Iowa Arts Council and the Iowa Economic Development Authority with support from The National Endowment for the Arts! This series will continue with performances Jan. 24, Feb. 28, March 14 & 28, and April 11 & 25. Stay tuned for artist announcements and more information.
