ISU Wind Ensemble

The ISU Wind Ensemble presents their first concert of the year Friday, Oct. 10. Works to be performed include Dancing Fire by Kevin Day, Oconomowoc by Oscar Navarro, Vientos y Tangos by Michael Gandolfi, Shepherd’s Hey by Percy Grainger, Fantasy of Colors by Paul Dooley, and the Concerto for Bass Clarinet and Band by Kees Vlak featuring student soloist Carl Balvanz.

Under the direction of Michael Golemo, the Wind Ensemble is recognized as the top concert band at Iowa State University. Striving for perfection and playing for the love of music, the 66 members of the Wind Ensemble perform the finest quality literature composed for winds.

Admission is $10 for the general public. ISU students and youth under 18 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the door prior to the performance.
