Wed., Nov. 12, 5:30 – 7 p.m.
Science with Cyclones is inspired by a famous program at The Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook University–called the Flame Challenge–in which scientists craft engaging explanations of everyday, yet complex, scientific concepts that can draw in a young audience (for example, explaining what a flame is). Similarly, Science with Cyclones has science students from Iowa State University explaining concepts like ‘How does lightening work,’ ‘What is a blood type,’ and ‘Why do boats float’ with interactive displays to explore.
Cy will attend and learn alongside guests!
This event is co-hosted by Reiman Gardens and the Iowa State University English Department.
