Famed Chicago bluesman Studebaker John Grimaldi started playing harmonica at the age of 7 and took up the slide guitar later in life after a self-described life changing experience seeing Hound Dog Taylor and the House Rockers perform. Under the spell of music he heard on Maxwell Street, Chicago’s famed blues melting pot, Grimaldi began performing as Studebaker John and the Hawks, an homage to his Studebaker Hawk car (which he still owns today), in the 1970’s.

Located in the Memorial Union, the M-Shop is an awesome spot for lounging during the day and for concerts & entertainment at night.
