This detailed garden scale display was created by Applied Imagination\, an internationally recognized company whose train displays merge botanical design and architecture. The RG Express is one of only 18 North American train displays of this magnitude! Walk past\, around\, and under miniature buildings and bridges built in the likeness of some of Iowa State University’s and Reiman Gardens’ most significant buildings. Don’t miss the magic of the RG Express this holiday season!  \nClosed November 22\, Thanksgiving Day\, Christmas Eve\, Christmas Day\, and New Year’s Day. Open until 8 p.m. on Tues.\, December 2\, 9\, and 16 to allow for special nighttime viewing of the RG Express. The lighted buildings and holiday decorations help the season come alive as the trains travel throughout our indoor conservatory.  \nDue to capacity limits\, the RG Express Train Display is not open during the Winter Wonderscape light show. Together we’ll write in community on our writing projects. \nWhat’s a Write Together? \n\n\nBring your laptop or whatever you write with to work on your creative writing projects—novels\, memoirs\, poems\, project outlines\, your to-do list for the coming year if need be\nWe have seating areas spread throughout the building at Fifth Street Writers that run the gamut from comfy club chairs to benches with tables\, to larger tables with chairs—some tables are shared spaces\nWe’ll write in community for ~2 hours after sharing a brief comment about our creative project\nWe have wifi\nWe write\, write\, write in silence\nRULE: Cell phones MUST BE SILENCED\, as well as laptop “dings”\n\nEach month\, we’ll open our doors at 9:30 a.m. Grab a coffee or tea and mingle with fellow writers. There’s plenty of street parking (metered) with a CyRide stop in front of our building at 612 5th Street in downtown Ames\, IA. \nWhile the event is free and open to all\, we’re asking everyone to pre-register because space is limited. This detailed garden scale display was created by Applied Imagination\, an internationally recognized company whose train displays merge botanical design and architecture. The RG Express is one of only 18 North American train displays of this magnitude! Walk past\, around\, and under miniature buildings and bridges built in the likeness of some of Iowa State University’s and Reiman Gardens’ most significant buildings. Don’t miss the magic of the RG Express this holiday season!  \nClosed November 22\, Thanksgiving Day\, Christmas Eve\, Christmas Day\, and New Year’s Day. Open until 8 p.m. on Tues.\, December 2\, 9\, and 16 to allow for special nighttime viewing of the RG Express. The lighted buildings and holiday decorations help the season come alive as the trains travel throughout our indoor conservatory.  \nDue to capacity limits\, the RG Express Train Display is not open during the Winter Wonderscape light show.
