Navy Band – Ames City Auditorium

Ames City Auditorium to Present the Navy Brass Ensemble “Side Boys”

On Sept.12 at 7 p.m., the Ames City Auditorium will present a performance from the Navy Band Great Lakes ensemble “Side Boys.”

“Side Boys” is an acoustic brass band ensemble that performs a wide range of musical genres, spanning from traditional New Orleans-style jazz to modern-day popular music, including, but not limited to, country, rock, jazz, and blues.

One of the trumpet players in this ensemble is Damien Emilien, who is a former member of the Ames Municipal Band and a graduate from the Department of Music & Theatre at Iowa State University.

“Side Boys” is ready to serve by providing a show that will surely be a crowd-pleaser for audience members of all ages! The Auditorium lobby will open at 6 p.m. for the event, and seating will begin around 6:30 p.m This is a free event.
