A Reiman Gardens holiday tradition is back! Visitors of all ages will be enchanted by the RG Express Train from Sat., Nov. 8, 2025, through Sun., Jan. 18, 2026. This detailed garden scale display was created by Applied Imagination, an internationally recognized company whose train displays merge botanical design and architecture.
Experience the magic of the holiday season with an enchanting afternoon of music at the ISU Holiday Concert – Choirs and Orchestra, featuring Iowa State Singers, Iowa Statesmen, Lyrica and Cantamus, and the ISU Symphony Orchestra at the Stephens Auditorium! James Rodde, Jennifer Rodgers, and Borivoj Martinić-Jerčić conductors.
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4 - 5 p.m, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week, along with techniques for better dancing. From 5 - 7 p.m, the floor is yours for dancing under Valerie's guidance and for working with different partners. An intermediate-level figure will also be introduced during this time. Wear dancing shoes, smooth-soled shoes, or socks.

Families with toddlers are invited for a storytime at the Ames Public Library. Enjoy 30 minutes filled with music, stories, and fun! Mondays and Wednesdays are the same presentation.
