Music Walk is back for another year and the Octagon is thrilled to have Foxpin back with us. Join them on the patio for great music, a place to sit and relax and refreshments for a donation. This all-ages event is a part of the downtown event that showcases musicians from central Iowa. We hope you will stop by!

September: Sewing Machine Basics with Russ Hoffman. Russ, a certified sewing machine technician, will demonstrate and talk through some sewing machine basics from threading and winding the bobbin to basic tension and oiling, plus tips on when it’s time to call a professional. Bring your questions, your mending, or any other project you are working on.
The festival is held outdoors on pavement, RAIN OR SHINE. Visual arts, children’s art area, food vendors and performing arts form the foundation of the Octagon Art Festival.

No School? No Problem! Join the Octagon and get creative on your school days off. We will be making a variety of art projects with a multitude of mixed media materials, (painting, drawing, printmaking, found object sculpture, fiber, wire, wood, puffy and gooey stuff, etc...) Bring a sack lunch, snack and water bottle.
